History: Maison Decision House was originally opened in 1979 as Community Residential Centre for provincial offenders and for a decade it helped many individuals make the transition into the community. As of March 1998 Maison Decision House was re-established as a Community Residential Facility, which offers an intense drug and/or alcohol abuse treatment program for federal offenders.

Description: Maison Decision House is a large three-story house and has three separate on site buildings, which serve as program centre, office and garage. The house has a 14-bed capacity, which is located on the second and third floor. There are two TV rooms, one located in the basement and the other on the main floor. The kitchen and dining room are also located on the main floor. The program centre substitutes as a recreational room in the evenings and on weekends. It is equipped with a pool table. The house is conveniently located in the Hintonburg District of Ottawa, which is a 10-15 minute walk to the downtown core and it has ready access to public transportation.
